Smile Makeover
A smile makeover combines any number of cosmetic procedures to create a beautiful new smile. Our team of skilled dentists will determine which procedures are appropriate for you based on your aesthetic goals, the condition of your teeth, your facial features, and your personal preferences. Using digital photography, we can design your new smile right in front of you so you can preview the results. Our dentists choose from a long list of procedures to improve the appearance of your smile. Contact Emerald Parkway Dentistry today to see how you can benefit from a dramatic smile makeover.
Implant Restoration
Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone by an oral surgeon. They serve as artificial roots for missing teeth and prevent bone loss by protecting your remaining teeth from shifting. Following an implant placement procedure, the next step is an implant restoration at our practice. During implant restorations, a natural-looking artificial tooth or bridge is fixed onto the post implanted in the jaw. The implant restoration eliminates embarrassing gaps, helping you speak and chew with confidence.
Both Dr. Andrew Williams and Dr. Jeannie Williams have extensive experience with implant restorations. Implant restorations can have an enormous impact on your life. Your new smile can improve your self-confidence and help you enjoy everyday activities like eating the foods you love.
Whitening
A bright smile always looks healthy and attractive. This can be accomplished with teeth whitening, a practical and convenient way to noticeably improve the appearance of your smile. At Emerald Parkway Dentistry, we offer both in-office and at-home teeth whitening options, so you can select the method that best fits your needs.
In-office whitening uses stronger bleaching agents for more immediate results. Treatment typically lasts one hour, during which time the dentist will apply the bleaching agent to your teeth and you can read or relax while the gel goes to work. Afterwards, your teeth are given a quick fluoride treatment. Results of in-office whitening can be stunning, lightening teeth by as much as eight shades.
For more subtle results, many patients select at-home whitening systems. When properly supervised by your dentist, at-home whitening is a safe and effective way to gradually whiten your teeth by several shades. The dentist begins by creating a customized mouthtray for you. The mouthtray is filled with a bleaching agent at home and worn for several hours at a time, or overnight. Typically, at-home treatments are applied daily for up to four weeks before optimum results are achieved.
Porcelain Veneers: Traditional and Lumineers™
Traditional veneers are thin strips of porcelain that are bonded to the front surface of teeth. The porcelain is translucent, like the original tooth’s enamel, so the veneers perfectly complement surrounding teeth. Veneers help to improve the overall appearance of your teeth by effectively concealing stains, chips, and misalignments. They are durable, natural-looking, and attractive.
The process for placing traditional veneers is relatively simple. First, a layer of enamel is removed from the teeth. The veneers are then bonded to the front of each tooth, and the dentist contours them to the desired shape, ensuring beautiful results.
LUMINEERS™ BY CERINATE® are very similar to traditional veneers, but the porcelain strips are much thinner. This difference in size often means that a layer of enamel does not need to be removed to prepare the original teeth. Avoiding this step also means that LUMINEERS™ can be placed without the use of anesthetic. For this reason, many patients consider LUMINEERS™ a more convenient option.
There is no reason to put off the dental work you need. Improving your smile can increase your confidence and change your life. To learn more about traditional porcelain veneers or LUMINEERS™, please contact our office today.
Bonding
Bonding is a convenient solution to a multitude of dental concerns, including chips, cracks, and stains. During a bonding procedure, the dentist molds a thin coating of a strong tooth-colored resin onto the tooth. The resin is then exposed to a high-intensity light, causing it to harden. Finally, the dentist polishes the resin to its final shape. Results of this procedure appear very natural and can last for years with proper care.
Bonding is a relatively simple, fast, and effective way to improve your smile. Dental bonding is also one of the least expensive cosmetic dentistry procedures available. To learn more about bonding, please contact Emerald Parkway Dentistry today.
Custom Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. At Emerald Parkway Dentistry, we offer full and partial custom dentures that are designed to precisely fit your mouth. Full dentures are held in place against the gums by suction or by denture adhesives. Partial dentures, on the other hand, are held in place with metal clasps that attach to surrounding teeth. Both are effective replacements for missing teeth.
With today’s technology, we can create natural-looking, attractive dentures that will help you chew and speak with ease. These custom dentures can reduce any anxiety you have about missing teeth and allow you to go about your daily activities with confidence.
Crowns
Porcelain crowns are tooth-colored covers that fit securely over badly damaged, cracked, chipped, or stained teeth. By covering the entire surface area of a tooth, crowns are able to strengthen that tooth, restore its function, and eliminate pain caused by decay or injury. Like veneers, well-designed crowns can make a dramatic improvement in the overall appearance of your smile. Results are completely natural-looking, so you can speak and smile with confidence. To schedule a consultation, contact our office today. Our doctors will be happy to discuss your goals and help you select a treatment option you will be comfortable with.
Bridges
A dental bridge is a natural-looking artificial tooth used to fill the space left by a missing tooth. Bridges commonly attach on either side to crowns or dental implants, so only a dentist can remove them. Their secure fit allows you to chew, speak, smile, and perform other activities with confidence. Bridges also protect your surrounding natural teeth from becoming misaligned and creating bite and jaw problems. They are an effective way to improve your appearance while maintaining oral health. To learn more about bridge placement procedures, please contact the caring experts at Emerald Parkway Dentistry.
Invisalign®
Invisalign® is an advanced treatment option that uses a series of clear plastic trays or aligners to gradually straighten teeth. The Invisalign® trays are custom molded by our dentists in order to precisely determine the new position of your teeth. They function much like traditional braces, but without metal or wires. The trays are changed about every two weeks throughout treatment, which typically lasts one year. They are comfortable, removable, and virtually invisible, making them a convenient method for effectively enhancing your smile.
Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign® gives you straight teeth without causing you to feel self-conscious about your appearance. It’s an ideal option for adults and older teens who want a beautiful smile without the hassle or embarrassment of traditional orthodontics. Contact Emerald Parkway Dentistry today for more information about the Invisalign® system.
